Human Resources

We are looking for outstanding people ready to join our Human Resources Management Development Program (HRMDP) and help us ensure that ADM is always a place where world-class talent comes to do its best work. Over about three years, ADM provides an opportunity to rotate through at least three assignments that provide new employees an up-close perspective on the diverse range of Human Resources functions.

Assignment
Assignments will be customized to each individual’s career interest and developmental needs. This rotational program will allow participants to experience a variety of Company environments while working side-by-side with senior Human Resources leaders to make strategic decisions that will impact the future of the organization. Rotational placements may include these options:

  • A staff role at company headquarters in Decatur, Illinois;
  • An assignment at both a unionized and non-unionized facility in the United States; or
  • Experience in an international location.

Qualifications
To be considered for an opportunity, students must have strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, as well as to manage and motivate them.  An undergraduate degree in Labor Relations or related program is required.  Students must also have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrated leadership abilities. Also, they must be able to relocate.

Internship
Human Resources’ summer internship is an experience that will provide you with the opportunity to work side-by-side with leaders who make strategic decisions that impact the future of the organization.

Our program begins with a two-day orientation designed to promote networking among fellow interns and ADM executives. Interns are provided with educational experiences and invited to social events throughout the summer to enhance their knowledge of the Company and develop as a professional at a Fortune 100 company.

Assignment
During our intensive 12-week program, interns will be engaged in a variety of projects with one or more of our Human Resources departments. Potential assignments could include:

  • Labor Relations,
  • Recruiting and Staffing,
  • Employee Benefits, or
  • Organizational Development.

Qualifications
The Human Resources internship is selective, and ADM is looking for candidates with strong analytical skills, the ability to collaborate and the leadership potential to manage and motivate colleagues.  Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must.  Progress toward a degree in the human resources or labor relations field is preferred, as well as a minimum GPA of 2.75.
