Electrician
Electricians are responsible for the routine electrical maintenance of ADM plants. They troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, handling both preventative and predictive electrical maintenance. Technical school or courses of a technical nature are a plus for job candidates, along with strong electronic system experience such as using a distributed control system and a programmable logic controller. Electricians must be able to read electrical and instrument documents such as process and instrumentation diagram and motor.
Maintenance
Maintenance workers install and maintain machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools. They trouble-shoot mechanical failures; repair, rebuild and maintain pumps and motors; install conveyor and auger systems; monitor and maintain inventory; and work as a team to fulfill the needs of the facility.
Welders
A welder is a tradesman who specializes in joining metals such as steel, aluminum, brass and stainless steel or varieties of plastic or polymer. Welders typically need good dexterity and attention to detail, as well as some technical knowledge about the materials being joined and best practices in the field.
Instrumentation Technician
Instrumentation technicians test, certify, install, repair, inspect, maintain and help develop complex instruments that measure and record changes in industrial environments. The process-controlled systems operated by these technicians are central to the operation of all of ADM’s processing facilities and laboratories.
