ADM has long maintained a Code of Conduct to help our company achieve the right results, the right way. The Code establishes high standards of honesty and integrity for all ADM colleagues and business partners, and sets forth specific policies to help ensure that our company conducts business fairly and ethically at all times, everywhere we operate. The Code also offers guidance on the appropriate handling of situations in which personal and business interests have the potential to conflict.
Effective November 10, 2010, ADM adopted a revised Code of Conduct to provide a more comprehensive and practical resource for colleagues, suppliers and other business partners. While the Code's overall standards have not changed, we have added and enhanced several topics to better support The ADM Way, and to provide additional suggestions on how our colleagues can abide by both the letter and the spirit of the Code in their daily activities. New sections include "Why We Have a Code," "Colleague Expectations," "Government as Customers," "Social Media" and "Sustainability." Additional enhancements include greater detail on colleagues raising questions and concerns, a clearer definition of ADM's position on retaliation, more specific detail on our anti-corruption policies, and an enhanced discussion of financial disclosures and fraud.
