ADM is pleased to recognize our extraordinary team of employees at the ADM Milling East Plant in Arkansas City for earning the Company’s most significant operational award for the second time. The team’s total commitment to co-workers’ safety, producing highquality ADM products and services, and promoting positive stewardship of the environment has set an example for ADM facilities around the world.
Joe Woodard, general manager, credits the achievement to his team’s unwavering commitment to excellence. “It took the efforts of each and every one of us to achieve this honor for the second time—and we’re determined to earn it again and again.”
Workers at the Arkansas City facility have received recognition many times for operating a safe environment and exceeding food safety requirements. The plant has worked more than nine years without an employee work-related safety incident.
Congratulations to the Arkansas City milling team for continuing to achieving ADM’s highest standard of excellence for this exceptional award.
ADM owns and operates two mills in Arkansas City employing over 100 workers in their East and West facilities. Both mills were constructed over 100 years ago using limestone quarried in the local area. ADM has operated the mills since 1990. The mills grind hard and soft spring wheat to produce flour sold in bags and bulk to bakeries and retail stores. The flour is used in cakes, cookies, biscuits, snacks and tortillas.
