ADM is pleased to recognize our extraordinary team of employees at the Buffalo milling facility for earning the Company’s most significant operational award. The team’s total commitment to co-workers’ safety, producing high-quality ADM products and services, and promoting positive stewardship of the environment has set an example for ADM facilities around the world.
Maintaining this level of excellence at one of the top ten largest mills in North America is a challenge this team of employees is eager to meet. “There are nearly 100 workers here, and each one is committed to these important areas,” said plant manager George Siradas. “We’re honored to be recognized, but know that there is more we can do to earn this achievement year after year.”
Congratulations to the Buffalo milling team for achieving ADM’s highest standard of excellence for this exceptional award.
The Buffalo mill was constructed in 1923. ADM purchased it from Pillsbury Co. in 1993 and has since been the sole owner and operator. The mill’s 95 workers grind wheat into flour that is shipped in bags or bulk by truck and rail to bakeries and retail stores. The flour is used by food manufacturers and bakers in various breads, doughnuts, cookies, pastries, pizza crusts and noodles. The five pound retail brands can be found here in Buffalo at your local grocery store.
