During our annual Global Safety Week, ADM is pleased to recognize 42 employees at the Decatur BioProducts facility who have gone above and beyond basic training in Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) handling and confined space rescue.
Certification requires 40 hours of Hazmat training and 24 hours of confined space training, as well as annual participation in three training sessions and one drill. Of the 100 members who have completed the basic requirements, more than 40 have taken on additional training – including one colleague completing 56 training sessions. “For many members of our Hazmat team, this training is voluntary, and we appreciate their eagerness to be a part of this important team,” said Kent Hadden, plant manager. “We’re especially proud of those who continue to expand their knowledge and complete additional training. They are a crucial component of our Emergency Preparedness Committee.”
Congratulations to the Decatur BioProducts Hazmat team as they continue their training to keep their colleagues and their workplace safe.
