ADM would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Toledo fire and police departments for their professionalism and effective response to the recent fire at our grain silo.
We are also grateful for the assistance the Salvation Army and Red Cross provided to nearby residents and emergency personnel.
Most of all, we want to thank our neighbors for their patience and understanding as local teams worked to extinguish the fire.
On behalf of ADM’s 29,000 employees worldwide, we applaud you!
ADM began operations at the Toledo grain elevator in 1997. Today, ADM has 37 employees at the facility, which receives corn, soybeans and wheat from area farmers. The grain is then transported to processing facilities by truck, rail and ship.
Every day, the 29,000 people of Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE:ADM) transform crops into renewable products that meet the demands of a growing world. At more than 240 processing plants, we convert corn, oilseeds, wheat and cocoa into products for food, animal feed, chemical and energy uses. We operate the world’s premier crop origination and transportation network, connecting the harvest to the home in more than 60 countries.
