Greg Gingera, Dow AgroSciences
Greg leads a team of researchers responsible for Roundup Ready Nexera hybrid development in Saskatoon. he joined Dow AgroSciences in June 2008 to lead the Roundup Ready Omega-9 canola breeding program.
Greg was born in Dauphin, Manitoba. He received a B.Sc. in Plant Science and Entomology at the University of Manitoba evaluating several potential systems for producing hybrid canola. Greg completed his Ph.D. program at the University of Minnesota in 1995. His key project was studying single and multiple disease resistance genes for common rust in sweet corn.
After completing his PH.D. in 1995, Greg joined Pioneer Hi-Bred in Des Moines, IA working in the Information Management group where he provided statistical support to the corn breeding group. In 1996, Greg moved to Saskatoon to lead a canola breeding project for Pioneer Hi-Bred. He developed canola quality Brassica juncea inbred lines and hybrids as Brassica napus Clearfield hybrids.
Matt Bingham, ADM
Matt Bingham was born in Saskatoon, SK and moved with his family to Winnipeg, MB as a result of his father’s career with the RCMP. He is currently a Commodity Trader with ADM Agri-Industries in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Matt focused on commodity and futures markets as well as risk management throughout his college studies and received his B.S. in Agriculture and Food Science, with a major in Agribusiness from the University of Manitoba in 2009. He began trading domestic feed grain in 2010 before starting with Toepfer as the export pulses trader in 2010. He has since been involved in the export business, trading pulses, flax, Canadian Eastern corn, feed and malt barley.
Matt is the Senior Canadian Export Trader on canola and durum, while still working closely with traders on pulses and barley. Matt resides in Winnipeg with his dog Finnegan and his girlfriend Brigitte.
