ADM began operations in the Czech Republic in 2009 when the company acquired an oilseed crushing and refining facility in Olomouc. Today, ADM has approximately 100 employees in the Czech Republic. ADM’s facility in Olomouc is one of the largest oilseed processing facilities in the Czech Republic. It has capabilities to store and crush oilseeds and refine their oils. ADM is the largest supplier of edible vegetable oils in the Czech Republic.
In Prague, ADM operates a trading company that originates grains such as wheat, barley and corn, and oilseeds like sunflower and rapeseed. Currently, ADM Trading Prague purchases commodities from collectors and traders and looks forward to adding direct origination capabilities in the future. The wheat, barley and maize sourced by ADM Trading Prague are delivered to customers in the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Poland. The oilseeds are used to supply ADM’s crushing operations in Olomouc and in Straubing, Germany.
