In Cameroon, ADM plays a vital role in cocoa beans, one of the nation’s key crops.
From Cameroon we ship cocoa beans to Europe. Also, together with Olam, a global tropical commodity trader based in Singapore, we operate the Usicam plant in the port of Douala on the Gulf of Guinea. Usicam is one of Cameroon’s largest plants for drying and cleaning cocoa beans.
ADM is committed to helping farmers in Cameroon, joining the Upcocoa Project. Launched in 2006, this four-year project focuses on increasing income for farmers by improving the quality of cocoa beans and the efficiency of collective marketing.
