In Poland, where consolidation and technical progress are making the country’s small family farms more efficient, ADM provides an essential link between the fields and the dinner table by storing, crushing and refining grains and oilseeds.
In 2006, ADM purchased a country elevator at Slawa Wielkopolska with drying and aspiration equipment and consolidated it with our operations in Szamotuly, where we crush oilseeds and refine and bottle retail vegetable oils. Today, ADM employs nearly 200 people throughout Poland.
Our elevators provide a valuable service for Polish farmers while also strengthening the supply network for ADM's processing plants in Europe.
In Gdynia, a port near Gdansk on the Baltic Coast, we have a partnership with Cefetra B.V. in an export/import terminal where we store grain and animal feeds.
