Russia

ADM began working with Russia in 1980, trading wheat, corn, soybeans and soybean meal. In 1993, we opened an office for soy proteins in Moscow.

Today, we have nearly 20 employees in Russia, and our Moscow sales office serves the food and feed industries throughout Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

Among the ingredients we sell to the food industry are soy proteins, lecithin, xanthan gum, lactates, high-fructose corn syrup and a wide range of cocoa products.

For the animal-feed industry we provide amino acids such as lysine and threonine and soy protein concentrate.

In cooperation with A.C. Toepfer International, in which ADM is a shareholder, we sell soybeans, soybean meal, soy oil, corn gluten and other commodities to the Russian food and feed industry.

ADM also has ownership interest in Singapore-based Wilmar International Limited, which has locations in Russia. Wilmar is a large agricultural processing business, and operates palm plantations; crushing facilities for various types of oilseeds; vegetable oil refineries and packaging facilities; plants that produce oleo chemicals, soy proteins and fertilizers; and multiple wheat and rice milling operations.
