ADM first started operations in Uruguay in 2008. The company began originating grains from local producers and dealers, and merchandising soybeans, corn and wheat to world markets. Today ADM is one of Uruguay’s major exporters and crop merchandisers, as well as a major importer of corn and related products, from the region.
Our headquarters are strategically located in Montevideo, while our structure in the interior includes own silo plant and regional office located in Palmitas (west region) and rented silos in the south, center and east regions. This setup allows us to provide both trading and logistics services for agricultural commodities. ADM has participated in Uruguay’s soybeans exports since its early beginning at Nueva Palmira’s port, where we have also traded Paraguayan and Bolivian production. ADM also operates at Montevideo ports with bulk and containers shipments.
In addition to its business activities, ADM Uruguay is proud to support the communities in which it operates through the ADM Cares global program.
