ADM Donates $355,000 to Iowa State University for Biorenewables Complex
“As the global population grows, so does demand for renewable resources,” said Jennifer Ballinger, Director, ADM Cares. “The Biorenewables Complex brings together the faculty, programs and facilities to better prepare students who will provide important solutions for a more sustainable global economy.”
ADM’s contribution to the Biorenewables Complex supports several facilities, including the ADM Classroom and Computer Lab, ADM Student Help Center and ADM Biorenewables Education Lab.
“Our investment in the Biorenewables Complex reflects our commitment to education and our desire to foster learning for the next generation of agricultural leaders,” Ballinger said. “We recognize that the academic services and peer mentoring provided within the ADM Student Help Center are just as crucial to student success as the hands-on learning that happens within the lab.”
ADM has a long-standing relationship with Iowa State University, and the Biorenewables Complex is just one of several ongoing projects including joint research activities, as well as ADM’s involvement in the Bioeconomy Institute and the CenUSA program.
ADM’s $355,000 contribution is being funded through ADM Cares, the company’s social-investment program. ADM Cares funds initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. Learn more about ADM Cares atwww.adm.com/admcares.
