ADM Donates $75,000 to City of Clinton for Fire Boat
The boat will help the Fire Department respond to fires, administer emergency medical services and respond to other emergency events on the Mississippi River in the Clinton area.
“ADM strives to make a positive difference in the communities where we live and work,” said Dean Brainerd, plant manager for ADM’s corn processing facility in Clinton. “Safety is an important focus for us in our facilities and throughout our company, and we are proud to give back to the City of Clinton in a way that helps make this community safer for residents, visitors and businesses.”
“Our main goal is to be able to provide services that we can’t currently provide to our citizens, our visitors, and our commercial and industrial customers who conduct business on or near the Mississippi River,” said Mike Brown, chief of the Clinton Fire Department. “We are very pleased with the support ADM has shown for this project. It clearly demonstrates how industry and public safety groups can partner to protect our community.”
The donation was given through ADM Cares. ADM Cares is a social investment program that directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities, and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
