Wolfforth Student Wins ADM Scholarship

07/01/2012
LUBBOCK, Texas, July 2, 2012 – Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) announced today that Hanna Bunting has been awarded a college scholarship through the ADM Scholarship Program.

“ADM is proud to sponsor this scholarship for Hanna,” said Tony Larsen, plant manager for ADM’s Southern Cotton Oil facility in Lubbock. “Outstanding young leaders like Hanna have already shown tremendous dedication, ability, and commitment to their communities, and we are pleased to help provide them the opportunity for future achievements.”

Bunting, a graduate of Friendship High School in Wolfforth, Texas, hopes to attend Texas A&M University and plans to study bioengineering and biomedical science. Her father is a technical manager at ADM’s Alliance Nutrition facility in Quincy, Ill.

The ADM Scholarship Program was created to assist the children of ADM active employees with the costs associated with a college education. Winners were selected on the basis of high scores on the PSAT/NMSQT; academic record throughout high school; significant activities and contributions to the school and community; the school’s recommendation of the candidate; and a student essay.
