Joe Taets is senior vice president and president, Global Business Readiness, for ADM. In that role, he oversees company’s global initiatives to reduce costs, improve efficiency and standardize business practices. He is a member of the company’s Executive Council. He also serves as the company’s safety champion, leading global efforts to enhance ADM’s safety procedures and culture.
Previously Taets served as president of what was then ADM’s Agricultural Services business unit, responsible for the commercial activities and operations of the company’s agricultural origination, wheat milling, and global trading businesses, as well as its global transportation network. He has also served as president, ADM Europe, Middle East and Africa; and president, Grain. Taets joined ADM in 1988.
Taets serves on the boards of ADM International; American River Transportation Company; ADM Australia Holdings; and ADM Grain River System Inc. He also represents ADM on international boards in Canada, Germany, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Holland, Mexico, Panama and Switzerland.
Taets is a member of the Board of Directors of Chicago-based Urban Initiatives, and serves on the Culver Military Academy Parent Association Board. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and an MBA from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
