ADM Donates $10,000 for New Greenhouse at Columbia High School

DECATUR, Ill., March 7, 2014 –Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) has donated $10,000 to the Columbia School District Ag Science Program in Columbia, Ill. The donation will help the district fund the construction of a new greenhouse at Columbia High School.“ADM strives to make a positive difference in the communities where we live and work,” said Randy Simmonds, divisional fleet manager in St. Louis for American River Transportation Company (ARTCO), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of ADM. “We are proud to present this donation to the Columbia School District and look forward to helping its teachers expand the Ag Science opportunities for their students.” Simmonds presented the check to teacher Carrie Koester and her Ag Science students last week.

The donation was given through ADM Cares. ADM Cares is a social investment program that directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
