ADM Donation to Aid in Flooding Relief

CALGARY, Alberta, July, 16, 2013 —Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) announced today a $50,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross to help provide relief to those affected by the recent flooding in Alberta.“The heavy rains and flooding we experienced in Alberta were especially destructive, and there is a lot of work to do to restore the communities that were affected,” said Gordon Smith, plant manager of ADM’s flour mill in Calgary. “ADM is proud to be an integral part of the Calgary community with more than 80 employees here, and we want to do our part to help get everyone back on their feet.”

The donation was given through ADM Cares. ADM Cares is a social investment program that directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
