ADM Names South American Business Director for Foods & Wellness

DECATUR, Ill., April 30, 2014 – Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) has promoted Roberto Ciciliano to the newly created role of South American business director, ADM Foods & Wellness, in the company’s Oilseeds business unit. He previously served as business development director, ADM South America.In his new position, Ciciliano will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of ADM’s recently announced soy protein production complex in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. The complex, which will be located next to ADM’s existing soybean processing facility in Campo Grande, will manufacture a range of soy protein products to complement ADM’s current North American production.

“Roberto’s management background and deep industry knowledge will continue to be great assets for ADM’s Foods & Wellness business as we work to expand our portfolio in Brazil and deliver high-quality products to our customers,” said Valmor Schaffer, president, ADM South America.

Ciciliano joined ADM in 2012, following successful tenures at Dow Chemical and Votorantim Group, where he served in a variety of global commercial, business management, sales and marketing roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Mauá Institute of Technology in São Paulo, a master’s degree in Business Administration from Fundação Dom Cabral in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and a continuing education program degree in General Administration and Product Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo.
