ADM Cares Partner with Les Cuisiniers Solidaires to Support Young People and Reduce Food Waste During the Summer Games

ADM Cares, ADM's corporate social investment program, recently announced a partnership to support non-profit organizations Les Cuisiniers Solidaires and Le Secours Populaire on their initiative to reduce food waste and support young people from disadvantaged areas of Vannes, France, during the Summer Games taking place in Paris in 2024.

The young people selected for this initiative are looking for experience in the catering and logistics professions and will be supported to travel to Paris during the Games. They will be part of a team collecting surplus food products and will be provided with training to transform the surplus food into nutritious meals.

Participants will have the opportunity to cook meals together with professional chefs, including Chef Guillaume Royer, Meilleur Ouvrier de France Cuisine-Gastronomie 2015. The nutritious meals will then be shared with the residents from disadvantaged areas of the host municipalities in Montreuil, Bagnolet, Saint-Denis, Île-Saint-Denis, Pantin, Aubervilliers and Saint-Ouen.

There will also be a series of cooking workshops focusing on nutrition and sustainable food, as well as tastings organized at community events in the respective municipalities.

"ADM is pleased to be supporting this initiative to give young people access to renowned chefs to learn more about food and how to elaborate meals, while helping reduce food waste," said Hubert Rolland, general manager, ADM France.
