Peter Taschner Joins ADM as Vice President, Safety and Health

Peter Taschner has joined Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) as vice president, Safety and Health. In this role, Taschner will lead the Company’s efforts to further improve safety processes, standards and metrics. He will report to Scott Roney, vice president, Compliance and Ethics.

“Pete has proven experience as a leader in the development and implementation of comprehensive safety programs at global companies respected for their safety results,” said Roney. “I am confident that Pete will bring additional insight and leadership to ADM’s fundamental commitment to reach Zero injuries, Zero incidents.”

Taschner comes to ADM from Dresser-Rand Company, a leading global manufacturer of compressors and turbines, where he served as director of Operations for a major business segment and led the development and implementation of a behavioral safety approach resulting in significant improvement in safety performance. Previously, Taschner served as vice president of Manufacturing at Telex Communications, and in numerous operations and safety leadership roles at E.I. du Pont de Nemours. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Lehigh University.
