ADM Announces Management Appointments, March 2014

DECATUR, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) today announced two management appointments in a new corporate strategy function.
Ian Pinner has been named vice president, Corporate Strategic & Financial Planning, a new position created to help develop and drive ADM’s corporate strategic growth plan and its business performance plans. Pinner will also lead ADM’s annual business planning process. Previously, Pinner was president of ADM’s Grain group. His appointment is effective April 1, 2014. He will report to ADM’s Chief Financial Officer Ray Young.
In addition, Christina McGlone-Hahn has been named director, Corporate Strategy & Competitive Analysis. She will join ADM on March 17, 2014. McGlone-Hahn was most recently the head of Agricultural Commodities Research at Deutsche Bank. She will report to Pinner.

Pinner joined ADM in 1999. Prior to his current position, he served as president, Grain. Earlier, he held several management positions with the company’s European operations, including general manager, European Softseeds; managing director for ADM Milling and ADM Pura in the United Kingdom; energy manager for ADM’s European operations; general manager for ADM UK oilseed crushing and refining. Prior to joining ADM, Pinner spent seven years with S.C. Banks plc, a European grain merchant. His last position there was senior wheat trader. Pinner received a diploma in business and finance from Mander College in Bedford, England.

McGlone-Hahn joins ADM from Deutsche Bank where she served as head of Agricultural Commodities Research. Previously she was an equity research analyst in Agribusiness and Proteins from 2000 to 2012. McGlone-Hahn received a bachelor’s degree in business management and Spanish from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., and an MBA in finance and economics from New York University.
