ADM Crop Risk Services Introduces New Technology to Accelerate Claims Process

DECATUR, Illinois (Jan. 22, 2014)— ADM Crop Risk Services (ADM CRS) today unveiled software upgrades for its Aeros System products designed to make the crop insurance process faster and more reliable for agents and farmers. The upgrades include mobile insurance quoting for ADM CRS’s AerosExpress – Agent™ Apple iPad® app, as well as enhanced mapping capabilities for Aeros Mapping™ and a faster infrastructure for reporting and processing claims.“We’re well known for our technology tools, but being a leader means adapting to the marketplace and consistently delivering innovative solutions that address the challenges our agents face in the field,” said Greg Mills, president of ADM CRS. “That’s what these upgrades are all about.”
The mobile insurance quoting functionality is the first of its kind for the crop insurance industry, enabling agents to review coverage options and prepare quotes on a mobile device, even without an internet connection.
“Regardless of location or internet connection, we want our agents to have full access to the information and capabilities the AerosExpress – Agent app offers,” Mills said. “This new offline functionality ensures the quote process will be easy and efficient for both agents and farmers.”
Also included in the software upgrades is a refresh of the Aeros Mapping application featuring a new, easy-to-use, full-screen interface, sharper imaging and up to 10 times faster processing times.
Like other Aeros System products, these software enhancements were developed by ADM CRS’s own software engineers. ADM CRS introduced an AerosExpress –Agent™ iPad® app and Aeros Express – Adjuster™ Apple iPhone® app in January 2013 and March 2012, respectively. The software allows ADM CRS adjusters to view and organize claims, take photos of damaged crops, map damaged acres of the field, find contact information and take notes after a call. It uploads all of that information into the Aeros System, which is then accessible by the insurance agent.
“Our entire line of Aeros System products are designed to help ADM CRS provide exceptional service,” added Mills. “Our goal is to file claims and get checks to farmers as quickly as possible.”
