ADM Names European General Manager for Foods & Wellness

DECATUR, Ill., April 30, 2014 – Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) has promoted Henning Ploetz to the newly created role of European general manager, ADM Foods & Wellness, in the company’s Oilseeds business unit. He previously served as business director, ADM Specialty Ingredients.In his new position, Ploetz will provide strategic direction for all Foods & Wellness assets in the region, including soy protein concentrate and lecithin operations in the Netherlands, as part of the company’s commitment to building its specialty ingredient business globally.

“Henning’s business management background and customer relationships will continue to be great assets for ADM’s Foods & Wellness business as we work to expand our portfolio in Europe and deliver high-quality products to our customers,” said Kevin Brassington, managing director, European Oilseed Crush and Origination for ADM.

Ploetz joined ADM in 1996, and has served in a variety of business management and sales roles with the company. He holds a degree in International Trade from the Institute of Foreign Trade in Hamburg.
