CHICAGO, June 18, 2015 – At this year’s Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Food Expo in Chicago, Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM), will demonstrate how its expanded offerings and unrivaled expertise can help customers develop new products that will increase profits. With its acquisition of both WILD Flavors and Specialty Commodities, Inc. (SCI) last year, ADM has been growing its portfolio to better serve customers’ needs for innovative products and solutions. Technical teams will share information, sample food items using ADM ingredients and discuss how new offerings, such as natural flavors and colors, can help food manufacturers with on-trend product development. Some of the highlights at booth No. 2818 include the following:Healthier Eating Trends – With high demand for ingredient solutions driven by consumer interest in healthier options, representatives from ADM will be available to talk about products that meet those needs, such as natural and organic products (ancient grains, dehydrated fruits, seeds, etc.) and products that replace gluten.Oil Solutions – Representatives will be available to discuss news and trends pertaining to alternatives to partially hydrogenated oils. ADM’s extensive portfolio of oils provides innovative solutions to customer needs, including the recent launch of a non-GMO soybean oil line.Sweetener Solutions –By using ingredients that lower the calorie-count of a product, food manufacturers can capture a consumer segment interested in healthier eating.
