Fargo Student Wins ADM Scholarship

Fargo, N.D., June 12, 2013 – Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) announced today that Andrew Beyer has been awarded a college scholarship through the ADM Scholarship Program.“Congratulations to Andrew from all of us at ADM,” said Scott Nagel, president, ADM-Benson Quinn. “Andrew was selected to receive this ADM scholarship because he has already shown remarkable dedication and commitment to his academic work, his extracurricular activities, and to his community. We are pleased to be able to help provide him the opportunity for even more outstanding achievements in the future.”

Beyer is a recent graduate of Ronald Davies High School, and hopes to study accounting in college. His father, Dale Beyer, is an accountant for ADM-Benson Quinn.

The ADM Scholarship Program was created to assist the children of ADM active employees with the costs associated with a college education. Winners were selected on the basis of high scores on the PSAT/NMSQT; academic record throughout high school; significant activities and contributions to the school and community; the school’s recommendation of the candidate; and a student essay.

About ADM in North Dakota

Almost 300 ADM colleagues work to connect the harvest to the home across North Dakota. ADM facilities include a biodiesel plant in Velva, a crushing plant in Enderlin, and elevators in locations throughout the state. In 2001, ADM donated $250,000 to North Dakota State University for the development of the Commodity Trading Room at Barry Hall.
