Local Students Win ADM Scholarships

DODGE CITY, Kan., June 12, 2013 – Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) announced today that Trevor Brock of Dodge City and Garrett Stewart of Minneola have been awarded college scholarships through the ADM Scholarship Program.“Congratulations to Trevor and Garrett from all of us at ADM,” said Clifford Katz, superintendent of ADM’s grain elevator in Dodge City. “These two students were selected to receive ADM scholarships because they have already shown remarkable dedication and commitment to their academic work, their extracurricular activities, and to their communities. We are pleased to be able to help provide them the opportunity for even more outstanding achievements in the future.”

Brock, a graduate of Dodge City High School, hopes to attend the University of Kansas. His father, Ted Brock, is a grain elevator laborer for ADM in Dodge City.

Stewart graduated from Minneola High School. His father, Mark Stewart, is the assistant superintendent at ADM’s sorghum processing facility in Dodge City.

The ADM Scholarship Program was created to assist the children of ADM active employees with the costs associated with a college education. Winners were selected on the basis of high scores on the PSAT/NMSQT; academic record throughout high school; significant activities and contributions to the school and community; the school’s recommendation of the candidate; and a student essay.

About ADM in Dodge City

In Dodge City, ADM owns and operates a processing facility, which processes sorghum for industrial uses as well as gluten-free flour products. ADM also has two terminal elevators in Dodge City, which together can store up to 1.9 million bushels of grain. In all, ADM employees 34 people in Dodge City.
