How ADM's Vast Trucking Operations Support Farmers and Food Security
At ADM, our mission to serve the world's food supply chain depends on the dedication of individuals who ensure crops move from field to market efficiently and safely. Our trucking colleagues play an essential role in that effort, delivering not just products, but food security for families and support for farmers across the country.
Supporting Farmers and Feeding Communities
Every mile driven by our team represents a commitment to those who grow and those who consume – and our drivers understand how much their work matters:
"I feel fortunate to be part of the working component that supports farmers and food security. It feels rewarding to be an integral part of something so vital," says ADM driver Warren Johnson.
Even beyond the driver's seat, our trucking colleagues see their work as a direct link to the food system:
"Many would not see the connection between my job and food security, but ensuring our tanks are cleaned and sanitized helps us prevent contamination and deliver safe food-grade products. That's essential," says wash bay supervisor Jaden Newman.
Bringing the Value Chain Together
Like so many ADM colleagues, many of our trucking team members come from agricultural and rural backgrounds, and see firsthand how their business ties into these critical value chains.
"What's really special is seeing it all come full circle, from my farm to the factory and ultimately back to my own family’s table. I feel proud knowing that the work I do supports U.S. farmers and food security from start to finish. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of such an important process and to witness the impact of what we grow every day," says driver Allen Brinkley.
Hope Fox, has been a driver for ADM for less than a year but clearly understands the importance of the work: "Coming from a rural community where farming is life, I'm proud to support farmers and agriculture, to make their life’s work meaningful and bring it full circle from farm to table. To feed the world."
Driving Forward with Purpose
Driver supervisor Justin Bascom emphasized the sense of purpose behind the work: "US farmers and food security are the backbone of America. I feel that I am privileged to be a part of such an important process. I am thankful each day for every farmer that dedicates his sweat and tears to provide for our country. My contributions to aide in distributing their product gives me a sense of accomplishment and pride."
From driving to sanitation to operations, each role along our trucking routes carries pride, professionalism and purpose. William Strickland, an ADM driver trainer, sums it up: "ADM is one of the top organizations that keeps America strong. As long as the drivers and truckers are strong, it will continue to last."
