ADM Announces 2006 Community Partnership Grants Call For Applications

3/14/2006

Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) is proud to announce the 2006 Community Partnership Grant program. The mission of the program is to support agricultural areas of the United States by funding community improvement projects that are identified by individual communities. Up to four grants of $10,000 each will be awarded to qualified tax-exempt, non-profit, educational or community organizations in ADM communities.

“ADM understands the value of America’s agricultural communities and is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the areas where we live and work,” stated Brian Peterson, Senior Vice President-Corporate Affairs. “This program will encourage local leaders and ADM employees to identify projects for consideration that address specific community needs.”

Last year, more than 100 community programs applied for a grant. Recipients included Arkansas City Area Arts Council, Inc. (Arkansas City, Kansas), Clinton Trees Forever (Clinton, Iowa), Marshall-Putnam 4-H & Extension Program (Henry, Illinois) and Midland Lutheran College (Fremont, Nebraska).

Applications and further information can be found on the ADM World homepage. All submissions must be postmarked by June 30, 2006.

ADM is committed to America’s agricultural communities and is proud to support the cities and towns where we operate. Through this grant program and other efforts like the Ag in America Tour, a mobile tour that educates students and consumers about the importance of agriculture, and sponsorship of National Agriculture Day, ADM is working to ensure a strong future for American agriculture.
