8/19/2013

LLOYDMINSTER, Alberta, August 19, 2013 – ADM Agri-Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM), today announced that it has completed the expansion of its canola seed receiving capabilities at its Lloydminster facility, making it easier than ever for area farmers to do business in Lloydminster. The expansion includes new storage and receiving facilities completed earlier this year, as well as the addition of two drive-thru seed unloading kiosks. The kiosks are simple to use and will improve the speed and accuracy of the receiving process.

“We are excited by the new capabilities at our Lloydminster facility, and we think that the many farmers with whom we work every day will be as well,” said JP Montalvo, manager, ADM Agri-Industries Lloydminster. “With the addition of the two new kiosks and expanded storage and receiving capabilities, we are seeing drastically reduced wait times. Farmers delivering canola seed to our facility can now get in, get out, and get back to running their businesses faster than ever.”

The kiosk installation completes a series of improvements designed to offer more convenient business solutions for area farmers. ADM Agri-Industries Lloydminster began the seed receiving expansion project in early 2012. The project included the construction of four new storage bins that nearly doubled the facility’s capacity, and a second receiving system, which significantly reduced unloading times.
