ADM Contributions to Help Local Agriculture and Community Programs

HUTCHINSON, Kan., June 26, 2013 - Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) recently contributed $7,000 to local National FFA Organizations and community programs, including: the Haven, Fairfield and Buhler FFA programs; the Hutchinson Community College Agriculture Program; Community Agricultural Site; Family Community Theatre and Interfaith Housing Services, Inc. Each organization received $1,000 from ADM.“ADM strives to make a positive difference in the communities where we live and work,” said Todd Harman, location manager for ADM in Hutchinson. “We are proud to contribute to these organizations and look forward to all the projects the funds will help support.”

The organizations will be using the funds for greenhouses, irrigation work and other community projects.

The donations were given through ADM Cares. ADM Cares is a social investment program that directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.

ADM operates four terminal elevators in Hutchinson and employs approximately 50 employees in the local area. The ADM facilities in Hutchinson originate, store and distribute grain to flour mills and port facilities all over the United States.
