David Weintraub Joins ADM as Director, External Affairs
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- David A. Weintraub joins Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) in the newly created position of director, External Affairs, effective immediately.
Weintraub comes to ADM from the Chicago corporate affairs practice of Weber Shandwick where he counseled clients, including ADM, on communication strategy, media relations and issues and crisis management.
As director, External Affairs, Weintraub will be responsible for managing ADM's interaction with national and international news media. He will report to Victoria Podesta, vice president, Corporate Communications.

Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Weintraub served on the staffs of U.S. Commerce Secretary Donald L. Evans and U.S. Senator Wayne Allard.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in communication studies from Northwestern University.
