The demand for plant-based meat alternative solutions is rising steadily. Jochen Heininger, Vice President Human Nutrition Marketing EMEAI says: “A few years ago, we were still talking about a trend. Today, it is clear that plant-based and vegetarian products are joining the mainstream thanks to the many consumers with ‘flexitarian’ diets.” More and more products are entering the market and their improved high quality is making them ever more popular. “Suppliers who want to succeed in this market can no longer compromise when it comes to developing sophisticated concepts,” says Heininger. The Fibrous Soya Textura® was integrated into the concept of a ramen soup to demonstrate the amazing resemblance to real meat structure.
