ADM Announces $29,500 in Grants to Southwest Georgia Organizations
“ADM is committed to keeping the southwest Georgia area a great place to live and work,” said Mark Milliron, a Dawson-based procurement manager for ADM’s Golden Peanut and Tree Nuts business. “We are proud to support these organizations because they help improve the quality of life in our communities today and help create a better foundation for tomorrow.”
Organizations and programs receiving grants from ADM in 2014 included:Terrell Academy for emergency alert system and media center upgradesTerrell County 4-H Club for the archery programTerrell County Fire Department for personal protective equipment and fire truck engine heatersTerrell County Emergency Medical Services for rescue equipmentTerrell County Recreation Department for automated external defibrillators and park trash receptaclesTerrell Family Connection for young parent education and adoptive parent recruitment programsTerrell High School for the football camp programVienna Volunteer Fire Department for personal protective equipment and a piercing nozzle.
ADM Cares directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
