Seneca Student Wins ADM Scholarship

MORRIS, Ill., July 2, 2012 – Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) announced today that Brittney Madison has been awarded a college scholarship through the ADM Scholarship Program.

“ADM is proud to sponsor this scholarship for Brittney,” said Kim Ekena, vice president, American River Transportation Company (ARTCO), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of ADM. “Outstanding young leaders like Brittney have already shown tremendous dedication, ability, and commitment to their communities, and we are pleased to help provide them the opportunity for future achievements.”

Madison, a graduate of Seneca High School, hopes to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her father is a regional terminals manager for ADM in Ottawa, Ill.

The ADM Scholarship Program was created to assist the children of ADM active employees with the costs associated with a college education. Winners were selected on the basis of high scores on the PSAT/NMSQT; academic record throughout high school; significant activities and contributions to the school and community; the school’s recommendation of the candidate; and a student essay.
