President, Precision Fermentation and ADM Ventures

Leticia Gonçalves is ADM's president, precision fermentation and ADM Ventures, and a member of the company's Executive Council. Leveraging ADM's unparalleled fermentation capabilities, Gonçalves is developing this new line of business as part of the organization's next growth horizon to serve growing customer needs across a vast range of food, agriculture, and industrial applications. Gonçalves also leads ADM's innovation strategy and execution efforts across the globe, including oversight of the organization's ADM Ventures investment portfolio and partnerships.

 

In her most recent role as president, Global Foods, she oversaw expansive efforts in savory, sweet goods and dairy, and managed high-growth businesses ranging from alternative proteins to edible beans and polyols.

 

Prior to joining ADM in 2020, Gonçalves served more than 20 years at Monsanto, now part of Bayer. Across a variety of senior leadership roles and regional P&Ls, she oversaw a diverse array of business segments including, seeds, crop protection, digital solutions and crop protection.

 

Gonçalves is a member of the board of directors of Believer Meats, a leader in cultivated meat technology, and a member of the board of directors of Emerson, a leading global technology and software company. She is a longtime advocate and driver of diversity and inclusion in business, and in December 2022 was recognized by Bloomberg Línea in their "100 Influential Latinos" list.

 

Gonçalves holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil and an executive MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
